Baby girl is sitting all on her own...I like to put the boppy pillow behind her because she will spontaneously decide to throw herself backwards.   She is loving the new view of the world!  I can't believe how much she is growing a changing.  Love her!

St. Patrick's Day

We had fun celebrating the day of green this year.
We were traveling on the actual holiday but that didn't stop those crazy leprechauns from visiting us...they messed up our car and hid treat bags under the kids seats!

Knowing we would be gone we did some celebrating all week long...

we all had fun making and playing with these leprechaun masks

one afternoon we made these adorable clover leaf leis

Of course we all sported green and spent our drive on the look out for "lepracorns" {GRIN}!!!

ballet! ballet! BALLET!!!

Ruby started a little ballet and tap class this week.  She was born to dance.  She dances wherever she goes ...prancing and lifting her leg up in a mini arabesque.  She was so excited.  I took her to pick out a leotard and she instantly fell in love with the first pink one that she saw.  It does look really cute on her though!  

I stayed and watcher her first class.  It was the most adorable and funny class ever.  I loved watching Ruby try to imitate the steps that her teacher was doing...I couldn't help but chuckle as my little girl all dressed in pink, with sunshine arms, sashed across the room!

The weather has been so beautiful.  We went to the park twice this past weekend.  The kids loved it!  Even Lyla thought it was pretty nice.  She just hung out in her car seat totally content the entire time.  It's days like this that give me Spring fever!!!

The doctor said she is "long and lean"

but to me she is a chunky monkey!!

I can't help but kiss those cheeks and squeeze those thighs all day!

Lyla, Month VI

To My Lyla:

Of your six months of life, this has been one of my most favorite.  Although they have all been great, you are just so fun right now.  Your personality is really starting to shine.  You are so smiley, happy, and easy going.  Your laugh is the best thing on earth and I can't help but tickle you just to hear it.

You finished up your physical therapy this month...Yay!! and have mastered rolling.  You are so close to sitting on your own and you love it!!  You also started eating solids this month.  You aren't quite sure about them yet, but you seem to like them okay.  You always open wide for the first spoonful and then give me a sour pucker face like you are wondering how I could have given you such a thing.

Every time I look at you I see myself.  I think that you look so much like I did as a baby.  Your hair has turned curly and to say that I love it would be an understatement.  I didn't think that I was going to have a little girl with my curls but it looks like you have proven me wrong.

You have the best brother and sisters you could ever ask for.  They love to pieces and you think they are all pretty neat too!  You have however, developed a special bond with Sophie.  Your eyes light up each time she comes near you.  It makes my heart melt to see the two of you...sisters...creating that special bond.

Happy six months, Lyla Bug.  I can't believe it has already been half a year.
