We had so much fun ringing in the New Year as a family! It was the first year that we weren't able to set the clocks forward 2 hours. The kids are old enough now that we couldn't fool them any longer! They loved staying up doing our traditional new years eve countdown! The night was full of dance parties, snacks, movies, board games, resolutions, and lots of fun! I love my family and I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for us!

July 4, 2015. Happy Independence Day!
We had a great 4th of July this year! We partook of all that the lovely town of Hurricane had to offer, starting with a parade bright and early before it got too hot! It was a great parade. Not too long, and not too short, and plenty of candy!! After the parade we took the kids to the park where they played games and bounced in the bounce houses. Later that night we had some friends over for a BBQ where we roasted hot dogs over our new fire pit! Fun fun! And the night ended with a beautiful sunset and fireworks for the older kids! I'm so grateful for this country that we have to live in and all the freedoms that we have.

A visit to Santa.
The kids were so excited to visit Santa. They each took a turn sitting on his lap to tell him what their heart desires for Christmas this year. It was fun watching Lyla visit with Santa. This is the first year that she understands what is going on. She wasn't scared at all. She leaned right in and gave him a big hug! I think all of the kids are on the nice list this year...

October 31, 2014. Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween!
We had a great halloween this year. The kids were so excited and have been looking forward to this holiday for over a month now! They all looked great in their costumes and had a blast trick or treating! Both Sophie and Collin went with friends this year and were just about the last trick or treaters out there! Such a fun holiday!
The kids really wanted Logan and I to dress up this year, so Logan decided that we would dress up as each other. He looked fabulous as a pregnant me! It made me laugh every-time I looked at him, and the trick or treaters didn't quite know what to think! It was lots of fun!

December 31, 2013. Happy New Year!
We had so much fun celebrating New Years with the kids. Like last year I put together some activities and put them in a paper bag. The kids took turns opening them every hour. We had so much fun. Some of the highlights included ice cream sundaes, dance parties, hide and seek (my favorite of the night), resolutions, and ringing in the New Year with a toast and some party poppers! The kids loved staying up until midnight (we set the clocks forward 2 hours) and I loved celebrating with them! I'm sure it won't be too much longer before they would rather be with their friends.
Although 2013 was a difficult year, it was also a year filled with many blessings. I'm grateful for those blessings, and most of all grateful for my family. They are everything. I am one lucky wife and momma!

Happy New Year!
December 25, 2013. Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We were able to celebrate with family and friends. We spent Christmas day at our house enjoying one another. We ate our traditional Christmas breakfast casserole and the kids spent the day playing with the gifts that they received. I'm so grateful for this time of year and that I get to enjoy it with the people that I love the most!

October 31, 2013. Happy Halloween!
The kids were so excited for Halloween! Sophie wanted to make her own costume this year and she did a great job! She was a raccoon! One of our sweet neighbors painted the kids faces making their costumes complete! They all looked so cute!
Sophie and Collin wanted to trick or treat with friends this year and had such a great time! Collin could have stayed out all night. Logan and I took the little girls out. They did our street and then they were ready to be done. We spent the rest of the night handing out candy and the kids ate a bunch of their loot!
October 28, 2013. Carving Pumpkins.
The kids love carving pumpkins. Sophie and Collin were old enough to help carve their own this year. They love picking out their pattern and seeing it come to life on their pumpkin! I forget every year how much work it is to gut 4 pumpkins! Such a fun night.

July 4, 2013
We had a fun 4th of July this year. We started our day off with the West Bountiful Parade. We LOVE this parade! The kids always have so much fun and this year was no exception. Grandpa got us really good seats in the shade. It was fun having "Grandpa Sheep" there to share in our fun. We really missed Grandma though and it wasn't quite the same without her. After the parade, we had lunch at Grandpa's house and then headed home for some naps. After naps, we went to see Despicable Me 2. The kids loved it! And then we headed home for some dinner and fireworks. Thanks "Grandma Polar Bear"!! It was a great day!

March 30, 2013. Dying Eggs!!
The kids were so excited to dye eggs. Especially Ruby. She has been asking everyday for several weeks now. They had a great time! I am always amazed at how quickly the whole process is. In the end, their hands are dyed just as much as their eggs!! Lyla wasn't into dying her eggs as much as she was into eating them!
Dying eggs was hard work...so everyone settled down to watch Hop afterwards! Love these 5 people more than anything!

March 17th, 2013. St. Patrick's Day!
St. Patrick's Day was a lot of fun this year! Our day started off with pancakes! But not just any ordinary pancakes. Green pancakes with Lucky Charm marshmallows in them. Oh! And whip cream! They were a hit! Soon after that I put together a quick little scavenger hunt. The kids loved it and had a blast running from clue to clue to find their very own pot of gold.
Earlier in the week, Sophie had put together a Leprechaun trap and was eagerly awaiting a visit from a Leprechaun. I wasn't planning on any visits from little green men this year, but after returning from church and seeing the disappointment on her face I knew that one would be visiting soon! He left some cute little green footprints and a small treat! The kids were in heaven and so surprised! I love experiencing life through their eyes!

Valentines
The kids had a blast putting together their Valentines for their friends at school. It's amazing how something so simple can take up the whole afternoon! The kids loved it though. This was Ruby's first time putting together Valentine's and she wasn't quite sure she wanted to give any away! It was a good thing that there were more in the box than there were kids in her class. She immediately went to work designing outfits for the little paper dolls!
Such a fun afternoon!
Happy Valentine's Day!
