I love this time of year. The blossoms are out on the trees. I just wish it were a little warmer so I could be outside enjoying them a little bit more.

homework

I like to try to document our day to day activities. I tend to be more drawn to those real life portrayals than portraits. Although lately, I haven't been really motivated to use my camera at all and tend to leave it to gather dust. But yesterday as we were doing homework I decided to pull it out. I remembered a picture I took last year and though it would be fun to recreate it. It's amazing just how much the kids grow and change in a year.

March 30, 2013. Dying Eggs!!

The kids were so excited to dye eggs. Especially Ruby. She has been asking everyday for several weeks now. They had a great time! I am always amazed at how quickly the whole process is. In the end, their hands are dyed just as much as their eggs!! Lyla wasn't into dying her eggs as much as she was into eating them!

Dying eggs was hard work...so everyone settled down to watch Hop afterwards! Love these 5 people more than anything!

March 16, 2013. Zoo Trip!

A couple of weekends ago, the kids and I took a trip to the zoo. We were finally having some nice weather, and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to be out in the sun! I was talking to Lyla about going to the zoo and I asked her if she wanted to see some animals, and she moooed! It was pretty cute! We all had fun! After the zoo, we met Logan for some dinner and ice cream. Such a fun day!

Today

Today, this boy checked out a Book of World Records at school.

He spent the afternoon looking through its pages. Soaking up facts.

He kept asking"Mommy did you know_____?" Over and over.

"Mommy did you know that a blue whale swallows 17,000 gallons of water when it catches it's krill. Did you know krill is what they eat?"

"Mommy did you know there are 75 different species of poison dart frogs?"

"Mommy did you know the worlds tallest tree is the Redwood tree?"

I just love his thirst for knowledge. 

He loves facts. 

And I love that about him!
