December 19, 2014. Smiles!

This cutie has started to smile and oh my goodness it is the cutest thing ever. I practically have to stand on my head to get a smile out of him so I feel so lucky to have finally captured one with the camera. Even if it was just my cell phone. I can't wait until he smiles all the time! Although he's pretty darn cute even when he's serious.

A visit to Santa.

The kids were so excited to visit Santa. They each took a turn sitting on his lap to tell him what their heart desires for Christmas this year. It was fun watching Lyla visit with Santa. This is the first year that she understands what is going on. She wasn't scared at all. She leaned right in and gave him a big hug! I think all of the kids are on the nice list this year...

November 29, 2014. Ruby's Frozen 6th Birthday!

Ever since Frozen cam out Ruby has wanted a Frozen Birthday, so that is what she got! It turned out so cute and I think she had a wonderful day filled with lots of Frozen fun! She had some cute little friends come over and they played "pin the nose on Olaf," had a Frozen scavenger hunt, and made snowmen out of glitter playdough. And of course they opened presents and had cake and ice cream! Such a fun afternoon for a fun, girl! Happy 6th birthday Ruby! We love you!

Some more pictures of our sweet boy from our hospital stay. Like I mentioned before, the time I spend in the hospital is so special to me. I love getting to know my new babe. We were lucky that we were able to have the kids come visit him. There was a no children under 14 rule (including siblings) for the entire hospital due to flu season. They were however allowing siblings in the maternity ward until the end of October. We just made it. They kids were so excited to meet their new little brother. They each held him and were instantly in love. 

All ready to go home! I think it is so fun dressing up my baby to leave the hospital. And I was dying over his cuteness!

Lyla was the only kid at home when we got home from the hospital and she took advantage to love on her new little brother. She has taken to the role of big sister so well. To say she loves Drake would be an understatement. She cannot stand to be apart from him. She wants to know where he is at all times and loves to snuggle and hug him. I'm not quite sure if he enjoys it as much as she does!
