July 10, 2015. Collin's Birthday!
Happy Birthday Collin! Collin turned 9 yesterday! He was so excited for his big day and I think he enjoyed it! He woke up in the morning to a decorated house! Nothing says happy birthday quite as well as balloons!! Later that evening, we had pizza as a family and then opened presents and had cake and ice cream! Collin had been wanting to have a blue velvet cake for a long time so that is what he got! He also got that mountain bike he has been wanting for a while, especially since we moved down here. After cake and ice cream I took Collin to a movie. He really wanted to see Jurassic World. We had a lot of fun at the movie and he really liked it! Happy Birthday Buddy! I hope you had a great day!

August 23, 2014. Sophie's Birthday Party!
For Sophie's birthday this year we celebrated a couple of days early because her actual birthday was on the first day of school. She chose to invite one friend to go miniature golfing and out for frozen yogurt! They had a blast! It was so much fun to watch her and her cute friend interact with one another. They played their own game of mini golf in front of Logan and I and I loved watching them have so much fun together! They may or may not have cheated a bit!! After mini golf and frozen yogurt the girls came back to our house for cupcakes and presents. Such a fun afternoon!
That evening "Grandma and Grandpa Sheep" came over for dinner and presents! It was a great day to celebrate a great girl. We love you Sophie! Happy 10th birthday!

August 18, 2014. Lyla turns 3!
For Lyla's 3rd birthday she wanted a Minnie Mouse Party! It turned out so cute and I think she LOVED it! She was so pleased it was her special day. We invited Grandparents over along with Aunt Amy and we celebrated the cutest little 3 year old there ever was! We ate pizza, opened presents, cracked open a Minnie Mouse pinata, sang "Happy Birthday", and ate some yummy Minnie Mouse cupcakes! It was a fun evening celebrating a fun little girl! Happy Birthday Lyla Bug! We love you!
For Lyla
Dear Lyla,
You are three years old and so much fun! I have really enjoyed this stage with you. You are sweet, sassy, spunky, shy, independent, outgoing, funny, loveable, and oh so cute all rolled into one little package! You are my little sidekick. And I love it!
Your favorite thing to play is babies. You have a million of them, yet you always want new ones. You tote them all over the house and take such good care of them. You feed them, push them in strollers, get them toys, and put them down for naps. I know that with all this practice you are going to be a great big sister to your new little brother. You are also obsessed with Minnie Mouse. You love wearing your Minnie Mouse shirt, dress up dress, and shoes!
You love playing with friends. You have two cute little neighbor friends that you always want to play with. You wake up and within an hour you are asking to play. I will bring you home from playing and soon you are asking to play again. I love watch you guys play together and seeing your cute interactions.
Lyla you are learning how to use the potty. You are potty trained for the most part, although you still haven't mastered pooping inthe potty. I have been trying to bribe you with new babies and anything else that i think you will want, but so far I haven't found the right motivation yet. You still like to wear diapers and would rather wear them than underwear, and that's okay. I know that one day soon you will be out of diapers!
You are getting so independent. You want to pick out what you wear and get yourself dressed. You like to climb into your car seat all by yourself and buckle yourself up. You know what you want and get so frustrated when you can't have it. You are happy as can be one minute and then the next? The world is ending. Despite being so independent, you still want to be little. You want to be carried, and cuddled, and drink chocolate milk from a bottle.
Lyla I love you so much! You make life so much fun. Im so lucky to have you call me Mom!
Love you always and forever,
Mom

For Collin
Dear Collin,
Last week you turned eight! I can't believe it. It seriously seems like yesterday we were celebrating your second birthday. It was Thomas the Train, and you still had a binky! How did you grow up so fast on me? You are such a great boy. Your smile melts my heart!
At eight years old, you are the best brother. I should say you are still the best brother because you always have been. You have a sweet spot in your heart for all of your sisters. I love the sweet voice you talk to Lyla with and I love the way you can hang with Sophie and Ruby no matter what it is they are playing. Everyone asks me if you are so excited to be getting a baby brother in October. I always tell them you are, but the truth is, I think you would be equally excited about getting a new baby sister. You love deeply and it shows in the relationships that you have.
Just about your favorite thing right now is video games and technology. You love playing Minecraft, Skylanders, and Mario Cart. You could spend all day playing them if I let you! You just saved up enough money to buy your very own tablet. It came in the mail today and you were so excited. The first thing you did on it was watch Minecraft tutorials on You Tube. You love finding new ways to perfect your game!
You are still racing BMX with your Dad. You advanced to intermediate this year and it is so fun to watch you race. It looked like you might be loosing interest in racing, but your interest has picked back up again and you are racing hard. I think the snow cones at the track may have something to do with that!!! You also like spending this one on one time with your Dad, and I know that those times mean a lot to him as well.
Collin you are such a smart boy! You finished up Second grade last month and did so well. You passed off all of your addition and subtraction facts and almost all of your multiplication facts. You are a great reader and love to read big books. The bigger the better! You have a love for facts and science. You always ask great questions. Questions that I often times don't know the answer to. Right now you are enjoying Summer, but I know that before too long you will be eager to start school again!
Your favorite things as you turn eight are: the color green, video games, pizza with sausage and black olives, playing with friends, and BMX racing.
Happy Birthday, Collin. I love you so much. I'm so proud of the young man you are growing up to be. You are such a special boy and a blessing to our family.
Love you.
Mom
July 10, 2014. Collin's Eighth Birthday!
Collin had birthday!
He chose to have a backyard campout with a few of his friends. It was so fun and right up his alley. The kids ate hot dogs, painted birdhouses, had a marsh-mellow fight, played horseshoes, and roasted s'mores. We sang happy birthday to the birthday boy and ate some yummy s'more cupcakes. It was a great night full of lots of laughs!
Happy Birthday, buddy!

For Ruby
Dear Ruby,
Your birthday came and went, but I couldn't let to much time pass by without writing you your birthday letter. I can't believe you are five years old. How did that happen? Soon you will be leaving me for school. What will I do without you here at home? You brighten up my day!
Ruby you are a crack up and so full of spunk! You are constantly making us laugh. You say the funniest and sassiest things. I love that occasionally you even refer to yourself as Sassy! You have your own ideas and your own way of doing things and you want to be heard. In the car if too many people are talking you will shout "It's my turn to talk!"I guess that comes from being the third child!
You love school. You look forward to it each day and have so much fun there. You have made some cute friends and you are learning lots. You love to write your name. You are in a stage that you write on anything and everything that is in front of you. I am always finding R-U-B-Y written on my bills or my shopping list! You know almost all of your letters and and some of thier sounds. You go to speech each week and are working hard on your articulation. You have made a lot of progress and have a lot of fun there. Mommy likes the one on one time that it gives us! You are looking forward to starting Kindergarten in the fall and going to the same school as Sophie and Collin. You were even excited for your Kindergarten shots and didn't even cry!
You are such a sweet sister to Lyla, and a best friend to both Sophie and Collin. You love to play with all of them. You share Sophie's love of animals. Lyla's love of coloring, and Collin's love of projects! Although you love playing with your brother and sisters, you also enjoy playing alone in your room. You have quite the imagination and I love listening to you when you play.
Ruby I love you! I feel blessed to be your mom! You are such a special girl. I hope that you have a great year! Happy number 5 sweet girl!
Love you always and forever,
Your Mom
December 1, 2013. Ruby's Birthday!
After much anticipation from Ruby it was finally her turn to have a birthday! Five years old! She was so excited. She chose to go see the movie Frozen as a family and loved it! It has become her latest obsession. She sings her heart out to the soundtrack and can listen to it all day! Later that night, she had a fun little celebration with her grandparents. She opened presents and was able to blow out all five candles on her Barbie cake! Such a fun day to celebrate a fun girl! We love our Ruby Jane!
