Moto X

Logan took Collin to his first Motor X.  Both had a great time.  Collin is always asking to watch boy movies and many times chooses to watch motor x on TV so I thought he would love the real deal.  He did.  They left early in the afternoon to spend some time in the pits before the show started.  I soon received a phone call from Logan and I could hear Collin in the background saying "I want to go home."  He got bored pretty quick with the pits.  Logan talked him into staying and he loved every minute of the show once it got started.  It was so fun to hear him talk about it with such enthusiasm the next morning. "remember my favorite part was the tractors and the motorcycles!"  "the motorcycles go rrrum, rrum over the bumps!"  "i got a motorcycle!"

My two handsome boys.
I am so grateful that they could have a boy adventure together.

And don't think that while they were out that us girls were sitting at home.  We were shopping and getting pedicures.  It was so fun!  I loved seeing Sophie sitting up so big getting her nails done.  And we topped it off with dinner and a movie.  It was so fun to have some special time with Sophie - and Ruby too!

M-M-M Good!

Ruby had her first taste of cereal this week.  To be totally honest, I have been dreading feeding her solids.  I wanted to wait until I absolutely had to feed them to her because I find it so much more inconvenient than her liquid feedings.  However, I really felt like she was needing it.  So I gave it a try.  I can't say that she loOooved it, but I don't think she hated it either - although she found her bib much more tasty towards the end!  We'll see how it goes.  If she doesn't start to show any more interest in it, I might hold off for a little bit longer.  But I just had to document her first feeding.  Just another reminder that my baby girl is growing up!  {sigh}

Enjoying Spring!

We have really been enjoying SPRING these past few days.  The sun, the flowers, the green, the summer clothes, and the absence of jackets and socks.  I could go on.  We took a trip down to Temple Square and basked in its glory.  The kids loved it.

I am so lucky to have these guys.
I love my little family!

I was totally loving the beautiful Spring flowers.  I couldn't resist plopping my little baby down right in the middle of the garden for a few shots.

(I was experimenting with my cameras exposure override for a photography class I am taking on this photo and I really like how it turned out.)

Lagoon

It's What Fun Is!
Spring is here.  Officially.

Well I hope so.   At least it has felt like it is here the past couple of days.

And Lagoon is open.  The kids have been dying to go.  Collin talks about going on the dragon (the new ride this year) at least once a day.  And he has been for months.  On Saturday we got out of the house, enjoyed the sunshine, and ushered in Spring by going to Lagoon.  The kids loOooved it!  There is nothing better than doing something that brings such big smiles on your kids faces.  I love the look of pure enjoyment that shows on their faces with every single ride that they go on.  We all had a great time and look forward to many more fun days at Lagoon.

That's the look I am talking about.

We rode the ferris wheel for the first time.
It is a   l  o  n  g   ride.
Oh and it was freezing 150 feet up in the air.
Sophie had to snuggle to stay warm.
I'll take whatever snuggling I can get from that girl.

"I a great driver!  Whoa"

Woo!  Woo!
Collin had a great time on the train.

This sweet girl was awesome.  She just hung out and enjoyed herself in the stroller.
She has recently started sucking on her tongue.
So cute.  It makes a kissy noise.  I sure do love her.

Happy Easter!

Ruby was sleeping during our picture.

What a beautiful Easter day.  The weather was wonderful and the day was spent enjoying time with family and reflecting on the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  I love Easter.  The symbolism of new beginnings.  It comes at a perfect time of year, when everything is born again.

Our Easter morning started off with the kids following a trail of candy that the Easter Bunny had dropped leading to their baskets.  I think they were pleased with the prizes and treats that was left for them.  They enjoyed opening their eggs and finding all the candy inside each one.

We spent the morning at my parents house going to church, eating yummy food, and enjoying the sunshine with an egg hunt.  They kids loved finding the eggs and running all over the yard.  I took a ton of pictures.  I had too, my kids are just so cute!  And they looked great in their new Easter attire.

Finding the eggs

We love Grandma!
Especially when she tickles us!

Precious baby.

Beautiful girl.

Handsome guy.

Sophie loves Dandelions!

I love Collin's cheesy face.
That boy can always make me smile.

I love my sweet baby girl.

Later in the day we went to Logan's sister's house where we enjoyed some more yummy food, and both the kids and the adults got to participate in an egg hunt.  I seem to lacking in my hunting skills.  I only found 3 eggs.  Oh well!  Again the kids were thrilled with the hunt and had a blast running around with their cousins.

What a lovely Easter day spent making memories!

Wicked!

I got to go to Wicked with my mom on Saturday.  It was such a blast.  I had such a good time hanging out with my mom and the show was fabulous.  I loved it.  The cast was wonderful and did such a great job.  Glinda was a crack up.  She had me laughing through out the entire show.  It was just so fun to be out without worrying about the kids and enjoying good company and great entertainment.  Thanks mom for taking me and showing me a great time and thanks babe for watching the kids while I was out playing.
