We went to Lagoon for family night this week. Lyla isn't much for the rides, she is kind of a scared y cat, but she seemed to enjoy them when she could ride with someone. I thought this picture of the girls on Bulgy the Whale was too cute not to post. The big kids had fun riding on some of the bigger rides all by themselves. How did I get kids big enough to ride rides without me?!?!

April 27, 2013. Lagoon!
We finally bought our season passes and took the kids to Lagoon for the first time this Spring. Ruby has been dying to go. Everyone had a good time. Lyla was old enough to ride on more than the merry-go-round this year. She wasn't quite sure about the rides at first, but quickly caught on and had so much fun on all of them except for one! I can't believe she is getting so big. Here's to warm weather, roller coaster rides, and time spent together!

Lagoon via Instagram
We went to Lagoon for the first time this season on Saturday. It was the perfect day...a little rainy so the park was pretty empty, but not too much rain to get in our way of having some fun! The kids had a blast choosing what rides they wanted to go on. Collin is thrilled that this year is is tall enough to ride most of the larger roller coasters. I look forward to many more trips to Lagoon this season!!

Summer
Summer is in full swing ... the kids are out of school, there is lots of free time, and already the kids are complaining of not having anything to do! Our days have been pretty low key {being 7 months pregnant will do that to you ... 8 weeks and 3 days left but who's counting! grin!} but we have been making good use of our Lagoon season passes. We {LOVE} them! And with the crazy weather we have had this summer our days at Lagoon have been perfect!
The kids take turns choosing what rides we go on ...

Sophie would prefer to spend the entire day riding the {big} kid rides. Although she does still love some of the {little} kid rides too!
Collin isn't quite tall enough to ride the {big} kid rides ... but really wishes he was. He spends a lot of time with Ruby and I doing the {little} kids rides ... always wondering if Daddy and Sophie are back yet!

Ruby is a happy camper as long as she gets to ride the whales and the kitty cat round and round! She rode these boats for the first time on our last visit and thought they were pretty fun too!
No matter what we ride, we all have a great time! And sometimes we splurge and get ice cream ... what could be better than that. A day full of amusement park rides AND ice cream!

and we run {or waddle!} from one end of the park to the next over and over again!

Every time we leave Ruby is begging us to go back! We {LOVE} summer and the time we get to spend together!

Rocket Faster!
Spring is here ... Lagoon aka Rocket Faster is officially open. As yearly season pass holders my kids anxiously await the opening of Lagoon all winter. We are all excited when we get to go for the first time of the season. We packed a lunch and headed out for an afternoon of fun. And it did not disappoint!
I felt so weird putting my "baby" on these rides. How can she be this big? I totally remember feeling this way with Sophie and Collin too.

It is so nice that Collin is such a sweet big brother to let Ruby ride with him. Sophie has never let Collin ride with her. I guess she likes her space!

We thought that Ruby wasn't quite old enough for her own season pass ... but boy were we wrong! She blew through $20 in tickets in one short afternoon. She loved it! Here she is on her first ride. I couldn't tell if she liked it or not, but when I asked her if she had fun she signed/said more and was eager for the next one. We may just have to get her a pass too!

Speaking of Sophie ... she is getting so big! She loves the kiddie rides but is so brave and wants to ride the big rides too. She is tall enough this year to ride all the rides and rode Wicked with Logan not once but twice. Ummm ... I haven't even rode it yet ... and I don't think I want to. And I took her on the white roller coaster. It was a blast. I just can't keep from laughing watching her enjoy these rides.

Everyone rode the merry go round. It is always a hit!

When Ruby wasn't riding rides she sat so contentedly in her stroller ... for the most part. But when we let her out she would just walk around like she owned the place. She definitely is a girl with her own agenda!

It was a great day at lagoon ... we can't wait to go again!

Lagoon
It's What Fun Is!

Spring is here. Officially.
Well I hope so. At least it has felt like it is here the past couple of days.
And Lagoon is open. The kids have been dying to go. Collin talks about going on the dragon (the new ride this year) at least once a day. And he has been for months. On Saturday we got out of the house, enjoyed the sunshine, and ushered in Spring by going to Lagoon. The kids loOooved it! There is nothing better than doing something that brings such big smiles on your kids faces. I love the look of pure enjoyment that shows on their faces with every single ride that they go on. We all had a great time and look forward to many more fun days at Lagoon.
That's the look I am talking about.
We rode the ferris wheel for the first time.
It is a l o n g ride.
Oh and it was freezing 150 feet up in the air.
Sophie had to snuggle to stay warm.
I'll take whatever snuggling I can get from that girl.
