Back in September I took Willette's class, Finding YOUR Joy {Capturing Your Life Thru Photos}. It really pushed me to get in front of the camera more ... and I am grateful that I have because I do want to capture my life ... with me in it! I hope to post more of my pics from that class soon.

My entry this week is an oldie but a goodie ... and the only silhouette that I have. I had hopes of going out and getting some new ones but the weather here has been all gloom. Oh well!

The theme for i heart faces this week is in the orchard. I LOVED this photo shoot. It kind of has a "Where the Wild Things Are" feel to it. My kids thought it was so much fun to run around this orchard all dressed in their Halloween costumes.

My older kids kept picking the apples off of the trees ... she had to settle for the rotten ones on the ground. She didn't mind.

This little guy was such a ham in front of the camera. Just one smile after another. But in a couple of pics I caught this smirk. I think he thought I was a crazy lady.

In fact, I didn't even put her in a swim suite

because

I thought there was no way she would even get wet.

Ha! Boy was I wrong.

By the end she was soaked.

I heart this boy. Him and I aren't always on the same page lately ... but he really is the sweetest little guy around. And his smile ... his smile lights up the room. Every night before he can go to bed he always says, "I want to give you a kiss and a love." And on some nights ... some very special nights. After his kiss and love he says "I want to give you a smile!" and he gives me a big smile before running off to bed. It is on these nights that I feel extra special. Extra special to have this boy in my life. And I have come to count on his kiss and love just as much as he does.

... I do. I really, really do!

This week at i heart faces they are focusing on desserts instead of faces and who better to celebrate with than Bakerella herself!?! I love Bakerella ... and her cake pops!

I was so excited for this weeks theme because I love to take pictures of food. I think it has something to do with the fact that it doesn't run away from me! But I am not a baker. I like baking ... but it just doesn't take a priority in my day. I am more of an occasional baker. I did however make a dessert yesterday, but it somehow got all eaten up before I could get a picture of it! I may have had more than one or two helpings myself. So today I ran to one of my favorite bakeries and got my favorite cookies ... coconut chocolate chip ... mmmmmm! So yummy.

Just looking at them makes me want to go get another one from my kitchen!

• lightened it using levels
• then ran coffee shop's perfect portrait action ... where I whitened the whites of her eyes, defined her eyes, and smoothed out her skin (lowered opacity to taste).
• then I ran coffee shop's little perk action just to give it a little more pop of color.
