Our 4th of July was a little different this year. Sophie was lucky enough to go see the Beach Boys at Stadium of Fire with her Grandma and 2 of her cousins. She spent 3 days in Provo playing and having a blast. Collin and Ruby spent the holiday with my parents shopping and gathering candy at the parade! They had a lot of fun too! Logan was working over the holiday, so Lyla and I hopped on his flight and flew to Monterey for the day.
The hotel we stayed in was super nice and it was just a short walk away from downtown. We tried to make it to the parade, but we just missed it. We walked to Fisherman's Wharf and then headed to a local park where there was live music and food booths.
After hanging out downtown, we decided that we all needed a nap and headed back to to the hotel. We slept a bit and then had dinner. We went to bed early that night in preparation for an early flight the next morning. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Logan. I love the times like these that we get to spend together.
