Airplanes

For weeks now, Logan has been wanting an RC Airplane.  He has been spending a good deal of time researching and choosing the particular airplane that he would get.  We finally decided that it was time that he get it.  He chose the one that was best for him skill wise (which is none!) but wasn't too impressed with the way it looked, so he has spent the past couple of day painting and designing new stickers for it.  He did a great job and it looks great.

Here he is with his new plane ready for its first flight.  For the sake of Logan's pride, I won't tell you how it ended, but I will tell you that he had a good time and that he should practice some more!  It is a good thing none of his passengers were watching!

The kids love it.  They think it is sooOOo neat.  Unfortunately, they aren't quite as gentle with it as Logan would like.  They think it is a lot of fun to chase it from the ground while dad is flying it over head.

Logan knew the kids would be totally into his airplane, so he bought each of them their own small balsa wood airplane to paint and fly just like dad.  The kids loved it and are very proud of their planes.  I love this picture of Collin flying his airplane.

Sophie did such a good job painting hers.  She was very thorough and made sure that every inch was covered with paint before she would stop.

Sophie with her airplane on its first flight.  Lets just say that it turned out better than Logan's did, but her plane IS easier to fly!

My Uncle Chris had an RC plane and he was totally into them for awhile. It was always fun to go watch him fly it but he did have a hard time learning I'm sure Logan will get it with some practice.
