It's That Time of Year

It's that time of year--time for Lagoon to open for the summer. Sophie has been anxiously awaiting this day since our last trip to Lagoon in October of last year. She has probably asked once a week all winter long if "rocket faster" is open yet. We love Lagoon and are so grateful for our season passes that Logan's mom gave us for Christmas. We have made several visits so far this year and look forward to many more. The kids have the best time and are total dare devils. One of Sophie's most favorite rides is the Tidal Wave. She is by far the youngest rider rasing her hands high in the air with each swing of the boat all the while her bum is totoally flying off teh seat! It is the funniest sight. Here are a few good pictures for our last trip.

Big News!

So if you ask Sophie what is in her mommy's tummy she replies, "A girl baby just like me!" Well, we will have to see--but we ARE expecting! Our family of 4 will soon be growing to 5. We are due in December and are very excited. I had my first doctors appointment a couple of weeks ago which made it seem real. We were able to have an ultra sound and see our tiny new baby. I would have posted the pictures, but the baby was so little--maybe the next ones after some growing has taken place, and it starts to resemble the human figure!

Zoo Trip

I have enjoyed making some trips to the zoo on the few warm days that we have been having lately. Sophie and Collin love the zoo. On this trip I went with my good friend Tiff and her adorable little girl, Olivia. It was a fun day. I tend not to take too many pictures at the zoo, but Sophie begged me to take this picture and I thought it was cute, so here it is!

Thanksgiving Point

My mom has been dying to go to Thanksgiving Point for the Tulip Festival, so on Saturday my mom, my sister (who is visiting from Seattle), two of my nieces, and me and my two kids loaded up the minivan and set off on our adventure. It was a fun day. We were freezing most of the time, but we still had a good time. My kids loved running around with their cousins, and I loved not having to watch them every second:)! The flowers were pretty and after visiting two gardens we were totally worn out--except for my mom. As my sister stated, "You get mom around flowers, and she has more energy that any of us!" Thanks for the trip mom, it was a lot of fun.

Sorry about the tons of pictures, but there were so many cute ones that I had a hard time narrowing them down:)

My Princesses!

A couple of weeks ago, Logan told me to come upstairs and bring the camera. This is what I walked into. My two sweet children dressed up as princesses! Collin has alwasy enjoyed dressing up, especially in GIRL stuff. He totally prefers Sophi's shoes over his own, and loves to wear all of Sophie's jewelry. I thought they were so cute. Logan told me that he was asking to have his dress taken off before I came up so he just told him that he was beautiful, and he was again content to be a princess. On many mornings when I dress Collin he will say, "I bewful!"

Logan came up with the idea that we should all dress up as princesses for Halloween this year. I am not so sure it will happen but it would be funny!

Friends

Sophie loves her friends.  She talks about them all the time, prays for them, and uses her imagination to invite them over to play with her almost everyday.  She has a lot of friends, but the two that she talks about most often are Naiih and Madeline.

Naiih lives across the street comes over a lot and enjoys playing with both Sophie and Collin.  He is usually up for anything--riding bikes, playing with toys and even watching girly princess movies:)!

This is a picture of Sophie and Madeline from about a year and a half ago, but I just thought it was a cute one of them together!  We used to live next door to Madeline in Woods Cross.  She moved shortly before we did, however they get to see each other once a month.  Sophie is so excited when we tell her we will see Madeline.
