March 16, 2013. Zoo Trip!

A couple of weekends ago, the kids and I took a trip to the zoo. We were finally having some nice weather, and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to be out in the sun! I was talking to Lyla about going to the zoo and I asked her if she wanted to see some animals, and she moooed! It was pretty cute! We all had fun! After the zoo, we met Logan for some dinner and ice cream. Such a fun day!

Today, this boy checked out a Book of World Records at school.
He spent the afternoon looking through its pages. Soaking up facts.
He kept asking"Mommy did you know_____?" Over and over.

"Mommy did you know that a blue whale swallows 17,000 gallons of water when it catches it's krill. Did you know krill is what they eat?"

"Mommy did you know there are 75 different species of poison dart frogs?"

"Mommy did you know the worlds tallest tree is the Redwood tree?"

I just love his thirst for knowledge.
He loves facts.
And I love that about him!

Sick Baby

Lyla was one sick little baby the end of February and the fiist week of March. Poor thing had a cold and an ear infection. It took forever for the antibiotic to kick in and even after that she was such a mess. Always crying and wanting to be held. The extra snuggles and cuddles were nice, but also exhausting. I was able to get just a few minutes to get ready one morning by showing her some Yo Gabba Gabba on my phone. Why is a baby using technology so cute?

March 17th, 2013. St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day was a lot of fun this year! Our day started off with pancakes! But not just any ordinary pancakes. Green pancakes with Lucky Charm marshmallows in them. Oh! And whip cream! They were a hit! Soon after that I put together a quick little scavenger hunt. The kids loved it and had a blast running from clue to clue to find  their very own pot of gold.

Earlier in the week, Sophie had put together a Leprechaun trap and was eagerly awaiting a visit from a Leprechaun. I wasn't planning on any visits from little green men this year, but after returning from church and seeing the disappointment on her face I knew that one would be visiting soon! He left some cute little green footprints and a small treat! The kids were in heaven and so surprised! I love experiencing life through their eyes!

February 25, 2013. California Adventures!

Our day at California Adventures was the best day of our vacation! It was so fun! The biggest highlight of the day was our Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto! It was amazing! Both girls were in heaven meeting the beautiful princesses.  I think Collin enjoyed it too, although he would never tell you he did!  We made sure that Ruby had her special dance with Belle. She was so excited she could hardly talk through the whole lunch. It was definitely something that I am glad we didn't miss out on. I know she will remember it for a long time to come!

Another highlight of the day was Car's Land! It was like we had just entered Radiator Springs!  Everything was done so well. We were lucky and got to ride the Cars ride several times without much of a wait, and the kids loved getting their pictures taken with Lightening McQueen and Mater. They were pretty cool. They interacted with whatever the kids said. So much fun!

It was such a fun day and the perfect ending to our vacation! When we got home, I asked the kids what their favorite part of the trip was. Collin said "California Screaming," Sophie said "the Ariel ride and the Princess lunch," and Ruby said "dancing with Belle!" I think we all had a great time and made some great memories!

February 24, 1013. Disney Land!

A little back story: Ruby has been dying to go to Disneyland to dance with Belle for months. She has even had a suitcase packed with her Belle dress up. I just knew she would love Disneyland and that she was at the perfect age! So Logan and I planned a little last minute trip. We wanted to go before Spring Breaks started and before the Summer rush, so it ended up being a little last minute! But oh so fun!!! We kept the trip a secret from the kids so they would be surprised. It was so much fun to wake them up and tell them we were doing to disneyland!

Our first day at the parks, we went to Disneyland. I just love the atmosphere of Disneyland. The music, the decorations, the characters, the souvenirs. I love walking in and soaking it all up! It's just so magical! The day really was perfect! Of course there were tantrums, and crying. But overall, we had so much fun! Ruby was kind of in a silly mood, she didn't really want to ride on any rides. She just wanted to sit in the stroller and hold her new loved souvenir, Lady. She did however, love the teacups and the carousel. The bigger kids loved everything they went on and enjoyed riding on the bigger rides that they had never been on before. They also loved spending their souvenir money and watching the parade. Belle told Ruby how much she liked her dress from atop her float. So special!! Lyla was an angel and handled being in the stroller or someones arms the entire time really well! I tried to get a picture of the family in font of the castle, but it didn't work out like I was envisioning. Ruby was upset about something, and the kids were all over the peace signs! Oh well! Such a fun day! It's so fun to experience it all with my kiddos! Up next, California Adventures, where Ruby's dream comes true!!!

February 23, 2013. San Diego Beach!

We took a last minute trip to California at the end of February.  It was a much needed trip to some sunshine and warm weather.  We flew into San Diego and immediately went to the beach.  It was so much fun! The water was cold but that didn't stop the kids from getting in! Lyla was content to sit on a towel the entire time barely moving a muscle. She did not like the sand at all. Which is so weird because she loved it the last time we went to Bear Lake.  Collin ran away from the waves, Sophie collected shells and more shells, and Ruby had a blast building the perfect sand castle.  Logan and I relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine watching the kids have the time of their lives. We probably could have stayed all day if it weren't for swim suits full of sand and a bee sting. We had such a great time!

We spent two jam packed fun filled days at Disney Land
where Ruby's dream of dancing with Belle came true!!!

Love my sweet family! I am sooo blessed.
