Bring on the TEARS!

In an attempt to get some 

cute 

photos of my adorable kids,

I had my own photo shoot.

This came about

after months of researching photographers online and stressing about the cost of getting your kids pictures taken

whether it be at your local Target or with someone much more "professional"

Finally, I broke down and decided to 

try

to take my kids pictures myself.

(Basically we are cheap!)

It was so hard! - now I know why I am not a photographer!

These are just some of the Out Takes

from the morning!

There were a lot of tears - from everyone!

I did however manage to get some that I actually like. 

I will post some of those later after I do some tweaking!

What Fun!

Afterwards was a promised trip to the dollar store.  

What one will do for a few cute pictures!

And OoOh how I long for a decent picture of my kids together.

is sooOOo silly!

While I was reading a book today

she was coloring. 

When I came into the room to 

check 

on her, this is what I found.

Ooohh my goodness!

At first I wanted to be upset

But then 

I saw how proud she was 

and I thought 

Does It Really Matter?

And hey!

It was the first time in a long time

that she actually 

looked

at the camera and 

smiled!

This Boy

has been an absolute mess lately.

All he wants is his 

mommy.

I have to carry him everywhere

I have to be the one to get the things he wants

like make his juice

I have to be the one to get him out of the car

*

I can never leave his sight

I have to schedule appointments during his nap time so he doesn't know that I have left

Poor Boy!

I think he knows that his life is about to change

BUT

he has no idea just how much it will change.

Now That The Kids Halloween Candy Is Gone...

Well not all of their candy

I have to settle for 

Hot Cocoa!

 Just the way I like it--

Marshmellows!

Yum!

Perfect on a day like today!

I love hot cocoa.  It brings back so many great memories of being newly married, living in Logan, and freezing to death.  I would sit on the couch with an electric blanket, topped by another blanket, with a hot cup of cocoa in hand.  Oh the good old days!

(Freezing in Logan was not something that I enjoyed at all at the time.  Funny that I look back at it with fondness now.)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had a great Halloween this year.  

The kids seemed to enjoy every minute of it.  

We started out our morning with a neighborhood parade.  

Sophie loved walking with her friends showing off her Ariel costume.

Collin had fun also, but was a little unsure of what we were doing.

He kept asking

"Where we going mommy?"

We love our neighborhood.  They have so many great activities that are fun for the kids and keep everyone involved.

I of course took tons of pictures of my cute kids showing off their costumes.

Collin was Lightning McQueen 

Both were soOOo cute!

Later that afternoon we went trick-or treating at Grandma and Grandpa's 

and had a yummy chili dinner

Then we were on our way

The kids LOVED Trick-or-Treating

They could have gone all night

When we were all finished they each dumped out their candy stash on the couch

and dug in!

They were totally on a sugar high when they went to bed!

But Halloween comes only once a year

Right?
